We found Lisa and Derrick on VacationSpot and were very pleased
from the second of our confirmation. We had frequent contact before the trip in
March, they were very helpful in sharing tips of traveling in Barcelona, Lisa also
sent us other photos of the loft and directions, but nothing could compare with
the breathtaking beauty of their home when we arrived. Decorated in simple but
very comfortable IKEA furniture, the cool orange and green loft with ceilings so tall,
and great wooden doors opening to windows that looked right onto the non- car street
where a Roman wall reminded us that we were in a very old and lasting place, the
charm ,the charm the charm. We were truly awed by the beauty of such accomadation,
and felt immediatley welcomed and at home. The loft offered three choices of sleeping
rooms, a great kithcen and den, a wonderful balconyed room for writng, but best of all
was the bathroom actually located in the courtyard of the building, with seperate enclosed
shower and toiletn and a great veiw of the barcelona night sky. we absolutely loved it.
Located in the hippest part of town, the Barrie Gothic, we were close to everything.
The sea was a five minute walk. The famous La Rambla was a five minute walk. We
had our choice of wonderful Spanish resturants and cafeterias, where we often sampled
different tapas. We loved getting lost down the little curvy streets, and were constantly
impressed by wide variety of peformers and stunnig architecture. Lisa and Derrick gave
us tips on cool spots to check out, but we were just as happy staying in, actually feeling
conflicted about not spending enought ime in our little haven . Being able to shop in the
incredible food markets and cook our own meals in such a wonderful place, it was such
a treat, we felt very spoiled. The loft in Barcelona is the best Urban Paradise we have ever
had the pleasure of seeing. We have come home and urged all our friends to save so we can
go back for a week because three nights was not enough. If you're going to Barcelona, you
should stay in the Barrie Gothic. And if you stay there , don't even think of a hotel. We stayed
in one on the way home before an early flight, and spent around $50US for a virtual office
cubicle. The tinyest room, w/ just enough size for a bed and narrow path to the bathroom.
You will feel like you want to feel on vacation at Lisa and Derricks, very very, special.
We can't thank them enough for opening their home to us, and feel too that we now have a
home in Barcelona too.

Myself and 5 friends stayed here this past October. The layout
is wonderful. Four of us cook for a living and the kitchen suited
us fine. We had no problem cooking for six. After walking through
the Gothic Quarter, I liked being able to open up the 22ft doors
and relax while watching other people walk down the street.
Sometimes they would even stop and say hello. The bathroom on
the terrace added character to the entire feel of the home.
The crisp morning air was great. I stayed in the loft and when
we go back, I will make sure I get the loft again. I commend
Lisa and Derrick on their home. The decor fits the mood and
life of the home. I can''t wait to go back.

My husband and I, along with another couple, recently stayed in Casalona.
We were absolutely thrilled with this property! The decor was incredible
and the added amenities a joy. We loved to come "home" after a day of sight
seeing, open the massive doors, light the candles and enjoy the provided wine
while listening to some jazz on the stereo! Tati was so helpful and accommodating.
We would certainly recommend this home to anyone and will definitely return! Thanks
again!
I have been lucky enough to travel to various places, staying in a wide
variety of accomodation.
By far, Casalona has been one of the most fantastic places I have ever
stayed in. You feel that you are living your holiday, rather than being
couped up in some stuffy hotel.
I will visit Casalona on an annual basis if I can !

So far we have been here 3 days and everything is perfect. The loft is charming ideally positioned. We had the warmest of welcome by Tati when we arrived. All of the extra here, cd's, video collection and books; makes us feel like we are home. Everyone one we have met has been very friendly. We are leaving in the morning and I must once again say how wonderful everything has been. The beaches, parks and everything is just wonderful. We hope whomever reads this enjoys Barcelona as much as we have. We will be back and we will stay here again. Thanks Tati for everything and to Taggart for helping with the reservations.

The loft is great. We chilled out just sitting in the front room with the doors open and what doors they are! Everything was perfect, it made our holiday great. It is all about location and what a perfect location this is. Thanks for everything. Tati you were a great help with everything.

This is our second trip to Barcelona and our son's fifth. Our first experience at staying at your wonderful loft in the Gothic neighborhood. We enjoyed the "ambience" of the area. The loft helps promote the atmosphere - including the "unique" bathroom - which we thought was fun. We happend upon a great little restaurant called "el pintor". The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. We left a card for future guests. We do apreciate the opportunity to have stayed here. Barcelona is a wonderful city and the loft just made everything wonderful. Thanks again.

I will always remember this house fondly. It is a very interesting place with very distint features. It is spacious and the atmosphere is wonderful. With the doors open and seeing the ancient Roman wall, it is a perfect combination. As our stay eneded, it felt like our own home away from home. I hope future visitors like the loft as much as we did. Thanks to Tati, she was wonderful.

What a joy to be able to visit Barcelona and especially stay in your lovely loft. It felt like home to us and we understand why everyone has loved it. Not only will we be back and stay here, we will tell all our friends and family what a wonderful place this is and how special Barcelona is. Tati is so nice and was so very helpful, she is a doll. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

What we craved the most was to wander into another world and at the same time, be a part of our surrondings in culture, in food and even in everday chores.... Your loft was our own for seven days and it became our home. Walking thru the neighborhood, touching ancient stones and walls and smelling the scents of the bakeries, we ralized you can combine the old with the new. It is sad for us to leave, yet wonderful to to know that we have found and experienced what Barcelona has to offer. Thank you for opening your home to us.
